Before the Shutdown Begins: A Few Updates

Well, we've reached the end of our summer season, and what a summer it was! We watched a new crop of first-time riders find their seat in the saddle, cheered on plenty of hard-fought rodeo runs, and said a lot of hard goodbyes to guests who've become friends. As always, it went by faster than we wanted it to, but we're grateful for every guest who crossed our cattle guard this year.

As we close down the ranch this week and prepare for the shutdown, we wanted to highlight a few items:

Contacting the Ranch:
The ranch will still be reachable during the shutdown! Give us a call at 303-647-2311 or send an email to info@lostvalleyranch.com Monday through Friday (we'll be closed on weekends). If you need anything at all during the shutdown, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Booking for 2028:

If you joined us for Fall 2025, Spring 2026 or Summer 2026: you'll have first right of refusal for the same cabin and same dates in 2028, meaning we'll offer you that spot before it's opened up to anyone else. We'll be in touch in mid-2027 to confirm your interest. This includes if you visited during Labor Day 2025, our Specialty Weeks in 2025, Thanksgiving 2025, or Summer 2026.

If you'd like to book with us for 2028 and weren't with us during one of those stays: please submit an inquiry through our Check Availability form to join our waitlist, and we'll reach out mid-2027 as availability opens up.

Monthly Emails & Social Media:
We'll be sending out monthly emails recapping the construction that's been completed. This is our way of keeping you close to the ranch even while the cattle guard’s closed. We'll also be bringing you behind the scenes weekly on Instagram and Facebook, dust, dirt, and all. And we'll be right there in the comments and inbox to answer any questions along the way.

Meet Our Contractor:
One question we've heard a lot lately: "Who's leading the construction on the ranch?" We're pleased to announce we've brought in Matukat Construction as general contractor for all phases of the renovation. Matukat is owned by two familiar faces, Spencer Allen and Ben “Dante” Harrison, both former Lost Valley staff guys. The two of them met working the corral together, before going on to leadership roles here at the ranch. They know Lost Valley from the inside out, and they're bringing that same ranch-first perspective to every phase of construction.

The announcement you've been waiting for… Check in with us on September 1st, when we announce what buildings are being renovated during the shutdown!

We can't wait to show you what's coming. Thank you for loving this place as much as we do, and for trusting us to take good care of it!

OOOO-AAAAH!
